The brief
Develop two streams of social content for ASIC and Moneysmart to raise awareness of issues surrounding mortgage offset accounts. ASIC’s LinkedIn content needed to encourage financial institutions to review their offset account processes and address potential gaps, while Moneysmart’s Facebook and Instagram content aimed to prompt homeowners to check that their accounts were correctly linked to their home loans.

The challenge: an overlooked mortgage issue
Mortgage offset accounts can offer significant financial benefits, but customers may miss out when their accounts aren’t correctly linked to their home loans.
The challenge was to communicate an often-overlooked issue to two very different audiences, balancing the seriousness of the potential financial impact with clear, actionable messaging.
We needed to establish credibility with banking professionals without becoming overly technical, while giving everyday consumers a relatable reason to take action.
The strategy: two audiences, two video approaches
We developed two distinct creative approaches, using messaging and video treatments suited to each audience.
For ASIC’s LinkedIn, we adopted a more serious, informative tone that highlighted the importance of banks reviewing their offset account processes and addressing potential gaps to protect customer outcomes.
For Moneysmart’s Facebook and Instagram, we took a more approachable, social-first direction, simplifying the issue into a practical check homeowners could make with their bank.
Each execution was supported by tailored caption copy and video refinements, ensuring the messaging felt appropriate to its platform while contributing to the broader campaign objective.
The solution: social content reaching 108,800+ people
ASIC reported that the mortgage-offset social content reached more than 108,800 people, with positive consumer response.
The two-stream approach helped extend the campaign’s reach across ASIC and Moneysmart’s social channels, bringing attention to an important financial check through accessible, platform-appropriate content.
