The brief
ActronAir has been designing and making air conditioning for Australian conditions since 1984. Its website was seven years old, built around the brand rather than its customers, and wasn’t capturing leads. The brief: reinvent it as both a brand showcase and a lead generation platform.

The challenge: a website that didn’t capture leads
The old site looked flat and outdated, and it wasn’t optimised for search. Navigation was clunky, content was dense and unfocused, and there was little interactivity to keep visitors engaged. It did little to capture leads or show off the expertise behind an Australian-owned manufacturer, and it wasn’t a site dealers could confidently share with their customers.

The strategy: a customer-first rethink
ActronAir’s marketing team led a customer-first rethink, using competitor, adjacent-market and consumer-behaviour research to understand what keeps Australian homeowners engaged. Tonic turned those insights into the experience: we designed the UI and UX around clear residential and commercial pathways, rewrote the site copy in plain, homeowner-friendly language, and built the SEO strategy and site structure around how people search for comfort, efficiency and Australian-made reliability.

The solution: WordPress connected to Dynamics 365
Tonic designed, wrote and developed the new ActronAir website on WordPress, as both a brand showcase and a lead generation platform, and integrated it with Microsoft Dynamics 365 so enquiries and quote requests flow straight into ActronAir’s CRM. Simpler navigation, focused and search-friendly copy, an intuitive Product Selector and a self-service Customer Portal make it easier for homeowners to find the right system and request a quote, while ActronAir’s team can update content easily and dealers have a site they can share. Within six months, engagement was up 20% and digital lead conversions up 15%.
